Nader strikes me as a distraction. He knows that he will never get enough votes to actually win - its like he intentionally does it to take away from the practical choices. And after X many times trying, he should realize that

but the thing is, if every one thought that "oh, no one will vote for him, so my vote won't help, so i won't vote.", the candidate will never win. plus, everyone's at liberty to run for president, if you never run, you never win. And often times nowadays with the two-party system, you're often voting for the lesser of two evils. depending on your opinion of course.

only in theory can anybody run for president, it has become something only the wealthy are able to do, so in reality not everyone could plausibly run for election
