Perfume by Suskind is really, really good, albeit a bit mature. It has a very interesting concept, and the story proceeds with an air of very captivating horror.
And of course, +1 for Lolita by Nabokov. It's kind of a mind pigeon. I also recommend not reading it until you're in mid-high school. I first read it when I was 11, so the depravity of the villain was lost on me for very obvious reasons.
