Sure, I protect fozen, but I forgot why we find this necessary besides the fact that he's an officer.

I protect myself, because I am a cautious person and don't want to die on the first clue.

Re: Scioly Assassination 103: Murder by Death
As the guests wonder around dining room and hungrily eye the food, the officers talk in the corner in hushed tones.
"Poptarts!" says one.
"Brown ones!" says another.
"thehydroenpoptart!"
"Paleonaps!"
"Frosted dogs!"
"Boxing day!"
Suddenly, an orange hits fozendog in the head. After staggering back to his feet and quenching the blood pouring from his forehead, he picks up the orange and notices the words "Accusation Orange" written in black marker and instructions written in blue pen on his hand: "To use an accusation orange, simply bite through the skin and swallow a chunk of the orange whole. While standing on one leg and continuously rolling your eyes, shout out the name of the person being accused." Angry, he raises his foot to smash the orange when a paper airplane flies into his ear, throwing him off balance. Finding himself on the floor once again, he decides that today is too busy to just stand around. He opens the airplane, and finding a note, begins to read it out loud. Everyone in the room gathers 'round to listen:

Finally, it took you long enough to protect. Those were the ingredients to a Poptart. Poptart = thehydrogenpoptart. Humpty Dumpty meant only that if you were to put the ingredients back together, you would have a Poptart. But enough of that nonsense, your next clue. I hope you've done Write-it Do-it, 'cause I sure haven't.
First, take a molecule of carbon monoxide. See the triple bond? That's bad. Move one of the e- pairs out along the carbon, and stick a thing-a-ma-bob of nitrogen on to it. Cap one end of the thing-a-ma-bob with a spare proton-o-tron and attach another carbon monoxide molecule to it, carbon side. Take the spare bond again and attach another carbon to it. Now: the fun part. Stick a thing-a-ma-george of nitrogen to the new carbon. To the thing-a-ma-george of nitrogen attach another carbon and cap it with three protons. Now, attach to the thing-a-ma-george of nitrogen yet another carbon (are you sick of it yet?), and give that a proton. Then take a thing-a-ma-anne of nitrogen and double bond it (things are getting serious) to that last carbon. Pick up yet another carbon atom and bond it to the thing-a-ma-anne of nitrogen. Now... Take the carbon you just used and make a double bond between it and the carbon atom you grabbed right before the fun part started. Then attach a thing-a-ma-rimba of nitrogen to your new carbon-12 and give it a methyl group to wear as a hat. Then, for our final act, take your thing-a-ma-rimba of nitrogen and hook it up to that carbon we had paired up with oxygen waaaaay in the beginning. And poof, you have both your victim and the cause of their death simultaneously. A little like Schrödinger's cat, no? Or, to be specific, Schrödinger's cat's dessert.

Re: Scioly Assassination 103: Murder by Death
So
Carbon monoxide, e pair out along it
Nitrogen
Proton+carbon
Nitrogen to new carbon with 3 protons
Carbon to the nitrogen and a proton
Nitrogen and double bond to last carbon
Nitrogen to carbon 12, that to the first carbon
Sounds easy enough

Re: Scioly Assassination 103: Murder by Death
I learned basics of Organic Chem in my chem class, am by no means an expert...but the structure I put together (I doubt I'm right on this) is C6H3N4O2. I have no idea what the "protons" are supposed to mean though. So I put in that formula in google and got this:
http://www.chemspider.com/Molecular-Formula/C6H3N4O2 (it will take a while for the pages to load, fair warning here)
The structure I came up with matches the first one the closest.
Problem is, I don't see any methyl groups on here >.> I could've followed the instructions wrong, but what bothers me is the no methyl group...unless I'm forgetting something in organic here >_<
Fozen, you're in high school, do you have any experience with this?
EDIT: if not, we at least need some orgo expert. Anyone in college taking organic?
