I think having multiple teams increases interest in SO, becase then more people can do it, and they don't feel so "oh I'm not that good I'll never get on"We pick our teams with age in mind, but it's mostly based on who's doing best at their events
except for freshmen are never on B team, because that would be stupid
and this year our region is allowing c teams, so we'll see how that goes...

our reginals no longer allows it... but i guess the way we did it was #1 and 2 on the test qualify for team one #3 and 4 would go to team 2 although some conflict might send a team 2 guy to team 1 but the funny thing was when both of our teams got top 6 (and a medal) and team 2 beat team 1... LOL

but they dont let it anymore, cauz i think they wanted to let more different teams compete...

i wish they would allow it again...

I don't think our region allows it, either that or our school. Whatever the reason, we get down to 15 members for one team each year regardless of the turnout. Usually the ones who work harder get separated enough that the choice for team members is relatively easy and we have a few alternates.
