My personal hypothesis on the SAT bio scoring: The most likely reason for the differences in scores between E and M is that the majority of students (like you) come in expecting ecology to be much easier than molecular. Because of this, many more of the lower scoring students come in without much studying and take the ecology section and get lower scores.

You will likely have more than enough time to complete both the E and M sections during the test and then decide which you did better on. When I took it, I completed the biology test plus the E section in 20 minutes and got a 760. (I obviously wouldn't recommend this; I just felt guilty because I told my ride to pick me up at 11 and even after leaving early got out at 11:40). :)

Last year: 670 on math
630 on reading

This year: 580 on math (I don't know how that happened...)
700 on reading

And I'm still a freshman. :)

@ the SAT II. I would say that chemistry is by far the easiest exam (I got a 800). It mainly covers stuff from chem 1, so after a year of AP, it is easy. The lack of a calculator is no problem. I give a warning to anyone who wants to take a foreign language SAT II, it is really hard unless you have taken a full 4 years of that language. :geek:

My SAT scores:
Reading: 710
Math: 690
Writing: 710
2009:
WIDI: 11th Nat
Chem Lab: 11th Nat, 4th State
ExD: 20th Nat, 2nd State
Herp: 20th Nat, 2nd State
Team: 27th Nat, 1st State
2008:
Herp: 4th State
Food Sci: 4th State
Team: 2nd State

one girl in my testing room brought a whole box of #3 pencils. Good thing the proctor said "everyone look on your pencil to make sure it's #2." The girl said that if she didnt say that, she would have never realized it.
croman - did you take the reasoning test or the subject test?
