Our resources for Heli are still under development, and will continue to be added to at https://www.freeflight.org/science-olympiad/science-olympiad-resources1 (UPDATED)
In addition, we have several videos, and maintain a set of SO-related video playlists at https://www.youtube.com/@FreeFlightDigest. We have added a Heli playlist for this year.coachchuckaahs wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 6:52 am We are still working to resolve the issue with the nffs resource page. The Web matter has rebuilt the page, but unfortunately had to change the URL. The current direct link is:
https://www.freeflight.org/science-olympiad/science-olympiad-resources1
This different from the prior, adding a 1 at the end. We are working to get a redirect so that the old URL still gets you there. Navigating from the home page also gets you to the new URL.

Several top coaches can help you online. Our primary focus is in this forum under the main topic Helicopter B/C (please don't pose questions in this resources topic). We also monitor the student-led flight Discord site (which is separate from the SO Discord site). Here is a link to the student-led Discord server: https://discord.gg/tBUYerFJ. While some coaches do comment on that server, we prefer that questions be raised here on this forum. It is far easier to find things here. On Discord things quickly shift to pages of stuff that is hard to find prior posts. There is far less chaff here on the forums.
We maintain a new series of shorts on Youtube to answer common questions. They are in a playlist, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe1IYdMr0FSxdMvaYk1eV0afTYxElOwbs
Here is a resource that is older, but still very relevant. It includes a variety of helpful heli guidance, and should be a must-read:

Please bookmark these resource pages, and check in regularly for additional resources that we generate during the season.
