Wedge action

For the wedge action, cans it be a right triangle with the angled part facing up or does it need to be an isosceles triangle with the tip facing the object?

The type of triangle should not matter because a wedge is an inclined plane. The rules do not specify they type of triangle, only that it must be a wedge. If you are concentrating on 4. d. ii then I would advise my own students to make sure the point of the wedge is pointing towards the marble. If the wedge is pointing away from the marble then the marble would be resting on a flat surface. It may not matter but I would not give an event supervisor the option to point out the "wedge" part is not actually necessary.
