There is no written test for hovercraft this year, right?

Indeed, Hovercraft was trialed as a pure build event last year and that has carried forward for this year as a regular event.

Honestly, I don't mind the event being a pure build. The test itself was rather a comprehensive AP Physics 1 test and wasn't not really specific to hovercrafts. Compare that to Machines which is specific to kinematics and compound machine concepts, Thermo with thermodynamic topics and history, or It's About Time's topics on time.

Also, the fact the test took place during the zeroth block in IL (I forget if that was the case on the nats schedule); i.e. everyone impounded their device and then took the test. Easy to say that IL state (with 50 teams) was chaotic that morning.
