I've uploaded (with permission) correspondence from the national organization on February 28, March 5, and March 11 to the 2019-20 Coronavirus outbreak Wiki.
The page you have created is very informative, thanks for putting it together!
Just for my knowledge, what are bids you are referring too here --> "there was a significant amount of confusion on how bids would be allocated for tournaments with cancelled state tournaments"
How do Nats decide which state gets 1 or 2 state teams to Nats ?
Bernard is talking about the bid system for nationals. Bids are determined strictly on how many teams there are in each division for each state. Out of 60 teams, each state gets 1 (so 50/51 states, including D.C.). The extra 9/10 bids go to the states with the most teams that signed up, separated by division. The top 9/10 states with the most teams would then get 2 bids, and the second place team at their state tournament would get to go to nats.

They decide based on the number of teams in the state, so there was a lot of confusion with states cancelling, and whether or not the bids would be reallocated to states with 1 bid, or if they would scrap the bids all together.

Also, the host site for the Mississippi state tournament, says they are cancelling all gatherings of 50+ people between March 12th and April 30th. The tournament is scheduled for April 3rd.

My team got correspondence that the State tournament was canceled (as well as all Regional tournaments to my understanding) on March 12th. On the same day, the state tournament venue said that they were carefully considering all domestic and abroad travel [https://www.uky.edu/coronavirus/updates ... -community].

There isn't a statement on the state website, however (it's not known for being the most well updated).
