I heard it was 55ish seconds, but I'm not sure.

Will we have to build our own launcher, or can we just buy our own?

Also, new to SciOly in general. How would i consistently measure the height and pressure of the rocket?

Competitions will have their own launcher but you can bring your own pump, as long as it’s legal. You can purchase the official launcher or find similar ones online. A way that I measure height is to look for the cinder blocks along the wall, measure an individual one, and multiply up to the height you need by counting them. This may not work for all gyms but can be really useful if you have those blocks. Just tweak with the psi on the pump and estimate the peak height. I would pretend it’s a little shorter just so you can be safe at competitions.

So SoCal just posted a rule clarification:

Q: "Can a weight like a washer or a lgob of clay be taped to the ping pong ball. Not glued, but taped so it can be removed. Is this considered altering the ping pong ball? Is this legal?"

A: "No, a weight of any kind may not be added to the ping pong ball."

So apparently taping strings are allowed but taping anything else isn't. Next thing you know they're gonna ban parachutes smh

Don't quote me on this, but 2nd place had a time in the low 40s?
