Getting (a LOT) better
I just went to the state competition! (Our state does not run regionals; not enough teams) Overall, it was a great experience, however after looking at the scores I noticed something. Two teams always win every year, and after looking at their scores I realized how far ahead they were. First got 49, second got 79, and third got 124. The first place team medaled in practically every event, and their worst score was a 5th place finish. How could I get me (and maybe my team) on that level? If they continue to be this dominant they're going to win every year. Any tips on how to improve an entire team's performance?

hi! i’m assuming you’re talking about connecticut. you guys did amazing too, congrats! as for improving your team, it takes a while and everyone in the team has to be on board. the reason why we performed the way we did was because everyone on our team was really committed. honestly, there’s no one secret to getting better, you just have to work at it i guess. congrats again, it was super fun competing against y’all!

Re: Getting (a LOT) better
hey! im from bedford too lol and I'd just like to say that doing well at states really comes from the team's effort. if u wanna get better, express that to your coach and team. it'll motivate people to work harder. also, don't stop studying just because the season is over for you! working consistently is key to performing well. dedication ---> success. really fun competing with you guys at states, congrats!

Honestly, just getting motivated and studying/building more is the only way you can win. Practices are generally a good idea but putting in time and effort will definitely lower your score.

We didn't win but the only way to do better is to just have your entire (even the slackers) team do well.

Re: Getting (a LOT) better
I think he meant that working harder will lower the number of points your team will get at a competition, thus improving your overall result.

He's making a Twitch reference and in English he's basically saying "If you want to improve, then you just have to win."builderguy135 wrote:Can you elaborate on this? Not sure what you mean and who you're talking to, sorry.megrimlockawesom wrote:Just win 4Head
