Science Olympiad is a tribute to Murphey's Law. This has been proven experimentally.
And no, I'm not a guy...even though my sig says will robsinson. It's a reference to Lost in Space, an ancient sci fi TV show. And the robot is the character who always says the line.

for nationals this year, our team is switching t-shirts to those really-stupid-but-at-the-same-time-super-fly tux t-shirts, you know? but yeah, our team tends to take stuff way to seriously...which really makes me mad...so we usually can't wear the crazy hats and stuff to competition. at the swap meet last year everyone wanted license plates from different states which i thought was pretty cool. the real trick is to just make friends with the people that have cool stuff cuz they'll give it to you for free. so yeah.
