Well the dimmest object you can see with the unaided eye is about a magnitude 6 and that's in perfect conditions.

And Neptune at its brightest is magnitude 7.8, and you can't see it without a telescope.

It all depends on your writer/states. I'm from NY, and last year the regionals and states wasn't THAT different. The states was a LITTLE more difficult but not by much. They both used an inflatable planetarium for the identification part. This year my regionals was star maps, so probably it'll be a planetarium at states but who knows. You would probably have to know more for sates. But at least from my experience, they weren't THAT different.

Pleides i love the study guide. How did it work out during the competition?/?
mine was similar to yours except i had 4 star charts instead of the constellations you drew in. The study guide didn't really work out for me since we were in the planiterium and it was so dark that i couldn't see a thing.

Do you have to know T Tauri stars for RFS? I thought it was only Astronomy.

I would assume so. Last year at nationals there were a few questions on them, but then again that was nationals. I would think you might as well know it just in case. I think that could be applied to some other more advanced knowledge (variable stars, and I can't think of anything else at the moment)
