Re: Invasive Species B/C
Quick question; a week before states I'm beginning to doubt all the history stuff I have for the species. Should I include every little detail of where things happened? All the sources I've seen list a ton of info about history, sometimes more then a page long. How much should I include? Thank you, I'm starting to panic lol

What do you mean when you say history? Where it came from? Background?JasperKota wrote:Quick question; a week before states I'm beginning to doubt all the history stuff I have for the species. I mean like for example: 1986 first spotted in Southern California. 1987 spread to Arizona, 1994 California decides to invest in controlling the species.Jaol wrote:What do you mean when you say history? Re: Invasive Species B/C
not sure about others, but in the tests I've taken so far, I've only needed the location and time of first discovery/introduction. I've never been asked to provide when it was spread elsewhereJasperKota wrote:I mean like for example: 1986 first spotted in Southern California. 1987 spread to Arizona, 1994 California decides to invest in controlling the species.Jaol wrote:What do you mean when you say history? Re: Invasive Species B/C
What do you guys put as the date and site of the introduction of Northern Snakehead? We weren't sure what to put at regionals because the first capture in 1997 was unconfirmed and the next confirmed documentation was in 2000.

I have 2002 in Crofton Pond, Maryland. That is a more well known happening. I would personally put that.maxxxxx wrote:What do you guys put as the date and site of the introduction of Northern Snakehead? If they ask for the first report, say 1997 in Silverwood Lake, California. If they ask for an established population, 2002 in Maryland.maxxxxx wrote:What do you guys put as the date and site of the introduction of Northern Snakehead? Re: Invasive Species B/C
For people in states with their own state list, what are you guys doing about the species on the Nat list but not on the state list? I'm from Georgia and there's a large number of species I wouldn't think to study, but I'm afraid it might be on the test at State in case the ES was either not aware or reusing a different test?
