What are the chances that the ES will use a pic that doesn't include the flower for something such as Diffuse Knapweed and how do you prepare for this?
For example: If they only show the green leaves (no stem)

How likely is it that an event supervisor would actually have a live specimen for a station at an invite? Are they just trying to mess with us

I want to say that is would be very unlikely, as possessing most species on the list is actually illegal but...... there might be a few here and there that an ES might be able to use.

A live specimen Is extremely unlikely, but would be super cool. Maybe at nats?

The list posted on invasivespeciesinfo.gov is slightly different from the official list posted by SciOly, but we only have to know the ones of the SciOly official list, right?

Your state might make a list for its own state, but as far as I know no state has. But we have to know the national list yes.

Is it just me or are the plants really hard? Not only to identify, but also information can be really scarce on some of them. Thinking about starting my own research so I can actually get some info on Hairy Whitetop (Lepidum appelianum)

I would assume that if there isn't much info available, test writers wouldn't be able to find as much on it either

Yes, unless the tournament you're attending specifies that you follow another list.
