I usually work with something based around that concept. But I have been switching between having general info and pictures together which does create a relatively large beginning, or having only pictures as you said and then just info after that. From experience I usually keep images and info together, but I am experimenting with some alternate ways to see which works best.windu34 wrote:I would advise having 2 or 3 pages in the front with only pictures to be used as an ID page and have the rest black and white with just info

You still post!Flavorflav wrote:Although of course that rule is also subject to General Rule 6, meaning that States must comply with it unless they don't want to.Unome wrote:If I remember the rules correctly, a state list must be posted by November 1st (for this event, at least).Person wrote:I don't know if I should start studying then...Eh, I probably will.

Re: Invasive Species B/C
My only suggestion regarding printing is to only do it once if you're paying from pocket or team funds. Printing a meaty binder in color gets expensive, particularly if everyone involved in preparing it wants a copy. I ran up a pretty ugly bill the last time I printed a full binder (R&M). The way around this is to either do it through your school or a parent or other adult's business. For school, if you have a color printer for student use, use it; just don't flood it at one sitting. On the business angle, some have printing charges considerably less than a copy shop. If you have the connection, it can be really helpful. Ask around.

Joined this event for all the insects ^_^ and because I saw water hyacinth (my specialty) on the list. Does anyone know how specific the questions on the tests will go?

I'd guess that questions will be more specific than in other ID events (at least, the easier ones will be) because of the limitation in the rules on asking for scientific and common names.Entomology wrote:Joined this event for all the insects ^_^ and because I saw water hyacinth (my specialty) on the list. Re: Invasive Species B/C
So, as all you Ento people remember from last year, termites were in Isoptera. But, now I am doing some research and they are saying the Formosan Subterranean Termites are in Blattodea. What would we do if the event supervisors did Ento stations last year? Would we put Isoptera or Blattodea for Order(if they even go that deep)?

Re: Invasive Species B/C
So in Asian Carps which ones would we have to know? Would we have to know all of them?

I have been assuming grass, silver, black, and bighead (the four invasive ones in N.A.)CTMSRoadScholarKING wrote:So in Asian Carps which ones would we have to know? Would we have to know all of them?

Re: Invasive Species B/C
Ok so I am writing the taxonomy for everything on the list and when I search the plants' taxonomy, there are no phyla or classes. So do these have phyla and classes? Thanks
