OH, didn't happen to me at regionals, but it happened at an invite. I'm just saying that proctors can be oblivious...
...That's a lot different.

Surprisingly, the quality of tests that I've taken is usually better at the invitational level vs. the regional level, because my regional isn't always the best, and I think invites are actually usually pretty well run (at least the ones I've been to). But yeah, I'd still keep freshwater and estuary stuff fresh in your minds in case it happens.

Are estuaries supposed to be a part of the test? I put a lot of information on my cheat sheet about estuaries as I was gearing up for an invitational and when I got to the exam there was not a single question involving estuaries. It was all marine ecology and coral...LOTS of coral :( Should I even bother putting them on my cheat sheet for regionals?

Tests vary all the time... keep it on, and hope that your regional test writer has read the rules better.

There should be questions on estuaries as well as coral reefs. Like pacificgoldenplover said, tests vary, so i think you should keep the information on your sheet. My regionals test lacked some elements that should have been tested as well.

Just curious, but has anyone out there seen tests with scientific names (genus/family, etc.) of organisms not listed in the rules?

Nope. Our test didn't even have scientific names.
