Anatomy B/C Question Marathon
Question Marathon for Anatomy B/C.
-The path of the Administrator is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
-Nothing\'s gonna get deleted. We\'re gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what\'s Fonzie like? Come on, what\'s Fonzie like?
-Cool?
-Correctamundo. And that\'s what we\'re gonna be. We\'re gonna be cool. Now, I\'m gonna count to three, and when I count three, you let go of your mouse, and back away from the keyboard. But when you do it, you do it cool. Ready? One... two... three.

Re: Anatomy B/C Question Marathon
Lets get this party started!
We'll start with a fairly simple one
These support cells increase the speed of conduction along a central nervous system axon by secreting a special substance.
What is the name of this type of cell and what is the name of the special substance

Looking forward to anatomy, protein, fossils, and optics (NYS trial) this year!

It seems like oligodendrocytes, and the substance is myelin

That is correct!
It is your turn to post a question

Re: Anatomy B/C Question Marathon
The stages of hair growth:
Anagen = growth stage; hair matrix cells divide & the hair grows outward
Catagen = regression stage, when the hair stops growing and it atrophies
Telogen = resting stage
After the telogen stage, a new hair begins to grow and pushes the old hair out of its follicle, and the cycle repeats

I forgot to hide my answer! Oops >_>
Okay, whatever. Next question: which class of major histocompabitility complex (MHC) proteins (also known as human leukocyte proteins, or HLA) appears on the surface of antigen-presenting cells?

Nope, try again ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
EDIT: antibodies are not a class of MHC proteins...
