Yeah, I've noticed Road Scholar and this year's Dynamic Planet use 'test material' from each other.

A decent amount of invitationals have come and gone, does anyone have any glaciers tests to indulge us with? :)

I'll try to upload a B division one that I made, but I have to get permission from my coach first...

EDIT: I researched the topic, and I came to the conclusion that an increase in 18O in sediment cores correlate to an increase in both temperature and sea level. Let me know if this is right or not :D

Just from experience (through invitationals and such) how imperitave is a knowledge of actual glaciers? (Ones on the Earth)

It is not explicitly mentioned by the rules.

From experience with Aquifers / last year's DynPlnt, just know the major ones.
BIGGEST lake /aquifer /glacier is bound to come on the test.
Also learn about ones that are famous for a reason other than size, or ones that are a good example of a concept.

Has anyone found any single good resource for this event? I find websites here and there, but I'm struggling to find one great book that covers ~65%-90% of the glacier knowledge I'll need to have at a regional/state level competition. Thanks.

The only textbook I've looked at has been Glacial Geology by Bennett and Glasser, and while a lot of the info has been in there, it takes a bit of sifting to find it all. I ended up going back to the internet to find info, but maybe it'll be your cup of tea?

On a side note, does anyone know whether Kettle Lakes are classified as erosional or depositional features? Unless I'm hallucinating, a question on our regionals test asked which one it was and I couldn't find the answer in our cheat sheet, while everything else was clearly defined as one or the other. Different sources on the internet are pointing in different directions, but I've also only really seen unofficial, user-uploaded answers like from Yahoo Answers or Quizlet. Anyone have a source pointing to a concrete answer :| ?
