Actually i think it's a Whirlig beetle? I could be wrong.

They are similar and part of the same family. The type tested for water quality is the predaceous diving beetle. Great diving beetle just popped into my mind when typing the last post.

Ah, no, it is a Whirligig Beetle. The Predaceous Diving Beetle has like, longer legs...

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Since I'm new to the event though, I decided to defer to my counterparts. I guess I knew them better than I thought. :D

Ahhh.... My bad.
I don't recall seeing many pictures of whirligig beetles with green/yellow highlights. Thought that was unique to predaceous diving beetles.
