We don't have SO at the middle school but I've been doing it for 3 years with one more to go.

6 years actually competing, 3 years of coaching the crime busters event(2 of those years I was competing). I forgot I've done WIDI coaching for 4 years too.

Our team is practically student run, our coach just gets us what we need. the president manages all the permission slips and other paperwork that everyone must turn in, the coach does the team paperwork. Apart from that, I think it has to do with the fact that we have so many teachers helping in the individual event categories that everyone just knows where to go for help and there isn't like ONE central person who helps everyone with everything.

YAY im not alone!!! thats good so our coach decided to quit and we have a new coach she wanted it to be student run with 8th grders being the coaches so then everyone quit on me so i coached rocks, crimebusters, waves, science word, WIDI, tower, mystery archtechure, and genral team management it was alot but im a controll freak so it was good

Our high school is much more student run than the jr high (scio i mean, not the school). Unfortunately, since none of the soon-to-be seniors want to actually do something besides me, it seems that im going to be in charge of everything, as well as doing 5 events. Fun.

ok dont be a negative nancy it'll all work out... sure there will be some minor hair loss but still...ummm i should stop now huh...
