Just a question:

Would you say that hometown (not current town of residence) is a person or place factor?

I don't see how it would ever be relevant if it's not the current place of living. The only thing I can see is if certain hometowns had conditions among their citizens which were common and well known, and not solveable by moving away, in which case I would say it's a person factor.

Not an expert, but that's my take on it.

That's exactly what I thought, but one of the test exchange tests said otherwise

Hmm... I'm inclined to think that it's wrong. Test writers are people too, so tests are not always 100% correct. Unless they're being so simple in that a home town is a place. But that doesn't matter at all.

okay, a there were a couple of questions at my invitational that I didn't know and they are really bugging me.
1. fill in the blank: infectious disease epidemiology relies mostly on________ while chronic disease epidemiology relies mostly on________.

2. what is the biologic gradient?

Is that from one of the tests on the test exchange? I found a couple of other questionable answers on that test.

Yeah, that wasn't the best test I've looked at...and our team was using it for testing, which was especially frustrating (still got my spot though)

I took that test as well.
For number one the answer is "labratory support" and then "Complex sampling and Statistcal methods"
I don't know what the biological gradient is. Some quick googling tells me its a Dose-response Relationship. Idk if that is true or not though.

Hope this helps!

The biologic gradient (dose response relationship) is supposed to be like the relationship between the level of exposure to a causative agent and the severity of the disease. Typically, greater the exposure level, the more severe the disease.
