Could we setup an RSS feed so users can subscribe to specific topics? The current method of subscribing to a topic sends an email with every response and that can get annoying.

It would be cool if rather than clicking the series Study events -> Meteorology B -> First unread post

You could just click on the Study events forum, then each unread thread would have a button on the study event forum page that would take you directly to the first unread post in a thread. So: Study events -> First unread post .

That would save me thousands of clicks every year.

Correct me if this isn't what you're looking for, but I do believe the tiny red square between a red beaker and a topic's title serves that very purpose.
