No worries, it's a really hard solo. Here's a pretty good link (I think it's the Boston Pops): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXwu0h_ulpw
I think the end got cut off though. :(

its hard on my ears too
and my embouchure.
my mouth and fingers and ears and head all hurt from playing this for about 3 times in a row...it goes up to a high A flat!!!

im using this http://placeart.load.cd/files/sheetmusi ... _parts.pdf

despite the big "preview" wording in the middle, i can still see the words...

do you think i should first play this on the flute and then,. when ive got everything perfect, switch to playing this on the piccolo?

@tuftedtitmouse12:
I know exactly what you're talking about. As you keep on practicing it, you'll find that it will be less rough on your embouchure. As for the really high notes (what am I saying, "really high"? Those notes are in the stratosphere!), you might want to use ear plugs when you practice the high sections. Hmm... that's a good question. I started playing it on flute, then switched to piccolo, but the switch from flute to piccolo can mess people up. Everyone's different, so yes, I would say go for it! :D

oh yes, when you directly transition, either the piccolo seems smaller or the flute seems so blundering...but i meant like i master the music on the flute...and then (not within the same time span) i would move to the flute...hm, well, ill earplugs..for now, im still good :D

hm you don't consider a high A "really high"? :shock: on the piccolo it is....at least to me?

It helps to switch between the two instruments as you practice, maybe warm up on one and then switch to the other. Oh no, I definitely consider a high A high on the piccolo. It'd be weird not to! :D
