How do you know that Jerry Moran is a Kansas senator when I when I've never heard of him?
I enjoy following politics, so I know who most of the US Senators are. It's really useful in Quiz Bowl, too! :D

Heck, all I know about Moran is that he puts up really obnoxious signs on the side of the road come election time. (Just like everyone else)

You should have seen the size of the signs for the Republican congress candidate for my area. There was one the size of a billboard that appeared in some forested area.

Our sophomore class was required to take the ACT (I think it was just a practice one, though) this April. Our teachers told us we'd get our scores back before the year ended, but we didn't, and I really want to know :/
I was looking over my PLAN and PSAT scores (I've never taken any actual SAT/ACT besides the aforementioned ACT, and I'm going into junior year :? ) from freshman year. Frankly, they kind of sucked -- I bombed the science portion, of all things! I've scored consistently - if twice of two times counts as consistently - high on the English/writing sections of standardized tests, though.

Haha, I know what you mean - when I took the PSAT this year as a sophomore I did worst on the math section because I misbubbled 4 answers :P

Nah, my problem is the other kind of stupid mistake: misreading the questions and/or answers. Even though I've always been decent at math, I am just awful at math tests. I have the tough concepts down - it's my addition and subtraction I have trouble with!

Hehe, I have the same problem. I'm taking Physics as a summer class right now in college (not fun >.>), and I got an 85 on the first exam. Now, that's not bad, considering that we're going blindingly fast and physics isn't really my strong suit, but there was one question that I lost 6 points on. I spent around an hour just on that question, and I finally thought I knew what to do, but when I plugged my answer back in, it wasn't working, so I assumed that I was wrong so I just picked some other method and got it wrong, giving me half credit. Turns out that I did it completely right the first time, but I got the wrong answer because I kept putting that 400 + 480 was 980, and it skewed my answer. So I can understand the complicated procedures, but I can't add 400 and 480 together in my head >.>

760 on Math II

I am pleasantly surprised, Barron's had me believing that I'd be getting a score somewhere in the mid 600s.

My issue is that my coach taught me too well- "answer every question- you are more likely to get points if you have something down." I was able to restrain myself somewhat, but I still answered some questions I really shouldn't have.
BTW: Does anyone know about how PSAT scores compare to actual SAT scores? I got a 214 on the PSAT, and the 99th percentile for sophomores, but I have no idea how that translates into an SAT score.
