Worst books

I do not understand why people are obsessed with Twilight. The worst book I've read has to be Breathing Underwater. I think that the message of the book is very powerful, but the overall storyline is too drawn out and upsetting. No sense of closure, either.

By the way, has anyone read the Artemis Fowl series? Those books are amazing.

Eh, I said it before, I think it kinda started going downhill after a while.

The 1st was great, the 2nd and 3rd were meh, I liked the 4th and 5th, and the 6th was absolutely terrible. I haven't read the latest one yet (though it's been out for a while), but I hope it's better than The Time Paradox, that was just bad.

Oh, really? I though the sixth one was pretty good. A little confusing at times, but for the most part, good. The latest one is so suspenseful! Again, a little confusing, but I'm willing to forgive that because the author is so talented.

Another good book by Eoin Colfer is Airman. I read that a few months ago, and I want to read The Supernaturalist by him as well. Was that one any good?

My mom rented the first Artemis Fowl as a book on tape. LOVED it, but I hate that Artemis won. Oh, and we also rented The Arctic Incident as just a book. I thought that one was just as good, except the whole "teaming up" thing was kind of cheesy.
And I LOVE Lord of the Rings; I've read it 8 times and seen the movies about 5,000,000,000,000,000 times.
Worst book I've ever read was Harriet the Spy.

Yeah, Artemis winning kind of disappointed me in the first one as well, but I think the author kind of wanted that lingering sense of tension between the two sides. The Arctic Incident was interesting (finding his father and all), but you're right about the teaming up thing. I mean, they go from hating each other in the first book to working together in the next. Which one is your favorite? I really like the first one, and I thought The Lost Colony was absolutely amazing.

Yea, The Supernaturalist is pretty good (really interesting plot twist at the end). Also, I've been reading A Tale of Two Cities for English, and I don't see why many people seem to hate it. Yes, the writing style can be wordy and hard to understand, but I like the occasional dark humor and irony.

I really dislike Robinson Crusoe. Had to read it for school a while back. I think I have a sophisticated enough literary sense to enjoy a classic, but I really hated this one. :/

I loved The Supernaturalist.

The only book I've ever enjoyed reading for school was To Kill a Mockingbird. I don't have any books I really hate, because if a book doesn't interest me I abandon it. I never understood why Twilight was especially bad compared to the other books in its genre, but I stopped halfway through because it was boring.

That one was one of the more interesting books in that series. I wonder what will happen next? I also heard they might be coming out with an AF movie (they better not butcher it! ).
