The * stands for a supernova remnant, though, doesn't it?

then why is there no * for Tyco's SNR Is than an exception What about Cassiopeia A (Cas A)

Is sgr* a supernova remnant or is it an object close to the center of the millky way Or both I'm really confused....

ok, let me get is strait:

sgr* = super nova remnant VERY CLOSE to the center of the milky way galaxy

Cas A* = also supernova remnant

Tyco's SNR = doesn't need * because SuperNova Remnant is already in its name...

is this right????

SgrA* is the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy. It is not a supernova remnant.
