if you use 3/16" rubber and get a certain amount of winds, would you be able to get more with a double loop of 3/32" rubber?
a 2 gram loop of 3/16 should be as long as a 1 gram loop of 3/32, but since the 3/32 would be thinner...it should get more winds right?
and another thing....is it possible to use only three strands of a rubber? i'm not sure if its possible to tie it like that
thanks
Well, it is possible to use only three strands... I don't know exactly how to myself, but the instructions are on this site and online somewhere, if you just look it up.
Chances are you won't be able to get more winds with a double loop of 3/32 (if you mean four strands) than a single loop of 3/16. And I think 1 gram of 3/32 would get more winds than 2 grams 3/16, but it doesn't have nearly as much torque/power. If your problem is lift, you might want to use thicker rubber.
I've found a good in-between rubber size (for my helicopter and others) is 1/8... if you have the time/resources you might want to try it.
