so are your rotors curved like this: http://gallery.scioly.org/details.php?image_id=3327 ?
if so, how did you curve the balsa for the frame? and how did you do it so that both blades of your rotor were consistent?

Yeah i've seen several flights over 2:30.
mine regularly goes over that time

Has anyone one seen a REAl flight over 3 minutes?
cause i've seen some teams get lucky and get caugt in the ceiling and get a ridiclous time but none that you could consider Legit flight times

No i haven't seen any but i believe that at nats it will be fairly common to see times over 3 minutes due to the high ceiling. What do you think winning times will be. I think that they will be somewhere above 3:30 or am i just over estimating?

I think that 3:30 is pushing it a little, maybe the top time will be that high. My guess is that a little over 3:00 and possibly a little under will place.

Those are great times, because our coptors hit 1:45 ish, but at regionals, our good one came apart. The top at regionals didn't break a minute (I think)

Yeah, a whole bunch of helicopters get stuck in the rafters in most gyms. I was lucky, my helicopter was doing somersaults through the gaps in the rafters during states, but miraculously didn't get stuck.
On a different subject, I'm guessing the top times for nationals will be a little over 3 minutes. 3:30 is probably pushing it a little, but I think around 3 minutes is definitely attainable.
I win.

i can forsee a 3:30 flight being very plausible at Nationals. there wont be very many teams with a 3:30 flight but i thinnk the top 3-4 teams will be in that range

Does anyone know the top times in competitive states such as Ohio and NY?

Also what is the height of the McClain Center in U of Wisconsin where Heli is to be held?

Well, i read a little bit about it on the UW athletic site. It said it was high enough for football kicks. The average peak height of kick-offs is about 50ish meters, or 150 feet. So ya....
