Any reason it keeps subscribing me to this thread, even if I don't tell it to? I've deleted it from the subscription list twice.

Go to your user control panel, board preferences, edit post defaults. By default, you are subscribed to the thread.
I may try to change that default to be "no" for everyone later.

Thanks. I think you should try to change that...or else everyone's inboxes will be filled daily with "new post" emails.
