What kind of info do you need that's not included in the field guide? My partner and I ended up stuffing our notesheet chock-full of information, but never used it during the competition.
ornithology, forestry, entomology, triple E, green generation, water quality, dynamic planet (lakes & rivers), awesome aquifers, meteorology, robot arm, write it do it. :)

Stokes Field Guide to Birds includes breeding and nesting info, and the Audobon guides do too. They're both pretty good field guides in their own right not to mention you don't need to write in the egg and breeding information. The only thing is that the Audobon one doesn't have pictures on the same page as the bird.

If you don't want to write everything in, you could just get one of the guides that includes breeding information, unless you really like your current field guide. o.o
