junexia wrote:well im not from ny, but the general rules should be pretty much the same for everyone. from what i know, the tabs cant be that big, and they MUST be handwritten. as for writing on the list, you can only write on the front without it counting as part of your cheat sheet. any writing on the front of the list or any markings are okay, but if you write anything on the back its counted as a page of the double sided cheat sheet youre allowed.

In the rules, after it says all of things you can have, including the list, it says "teams may write on any of these". Or something basically like that. So I'm pretty sure you can write on it.

Celeste and junexia are correct. You can write on the front of the list, but not on the back.

thanks for the link FueL. i was looking at it, and there was also a question about the tab sizes. i thought that would be helpful, cuz we've been debating this for a while now on this thread. the answer on soinc was that the limitation for tabs was by the dictionary definition, which is a flap or a strip of paper attached to something for identification and information. something like that. but the thing is, if the dictionary says it can have "information" on it, i guess you CAN put stuff other than just plain identification on it? so confusing!

the rules are so confusing D: it would be so much easier if we could just bring a binder. if we can write in the book and 2 cheat sheets (bird list and cheat sheet) then why cant we just have a binder :|

i actually think a binder would be too bothersome...i'd rather just write out all the stuff, it's like typing it, but not so many papers. and if you had a binder, you'd have to lug it around with you all day, probably. and i already have a fossils one to worry about, sooo...

I think a binder would be easier to have instead of trying to fit all the info into the book. Its easier to print every thing out and highlighting the important things instead of reading all of if and picking out the things you think you need because u cant fit everything into the book...but a fossils and bird binder would be hard to carry around. :|
