BenZ is currently part of the Ward Melville High School Varsity team, competing in Astronomy, Remote Sensing, Fermi Questions, Experimental Design.

That actually was ok the new online format was ok. BenZ is pretty happy with his placements. Second in Reach for the Stars was actually a surprise because his old partner quit and his new partner had to learn the event in two weeks. Third in Fossils was nice, and third in Disease Detectives was also a surprise because the test was 110 questions (pain.) Murphy mainly only got sixth because we did not do three of the events.

2019 to 2020 season (8th grade)
BenZ did not make Disease Detectives either because of a conflict with Meteorology or he just failed the tryout.
LISO Invitational A-Team

BenZ has been grinding Reach for the Stars so YAY. This first place had caused him to earn the title of "Reach Dad" courtesy of Rithik. Fossils was surprising as BenZ was carried and thought he failed. Meteorology was the most surprising as BenZ and his partner barely practiced. Boomilever BenZ and his partner kind of flopped, with an efficiency of about 430; 18.7 g heavy and held 8.05 kg. Murphy sadly left before the award ceremony due to it being very late, but the bus back ended up breaking down so we still got home about as late as we would've got home if WE STAYED.

What depression. Third in Reach for the Stars, considering how much time BenZ put into it that is sad. First and second place were Gelinas B and A, respectively. Even more depression was that Gelinas B was 2 seventh graders. Third in Fossils was pretty good. BenZ doesn't know what to think about fifth in Meteorology but once again considering how we barely studied at all we did okay. Boomilever did better than at invitationals, with a weight of 19.6 g and held 10.66 kg; efficiency of about 542. This was a very sad day and we better do better at states, especially for Reach for the Stars, the failure was a huge surprise.

Sadly, the New York state tournament got cancelled due to the spreading Coronavirus.

BenZ totally did not expect getting onto the A-team, and probably only did due to luck of nobody else doing his events. Doing only 2 events, BenZ failed his tryout for Battery Buggy. BenZ was hard carried for Solar System, which is why he got first. Disease Detectives was less of a carry but we did not do that well.
States A-Team

All Solar System credits go to Claire who carried BenZ. BenZ didn't do Disease Detectives at states due to a conflict with Solar System, causing him to only get one states medal :(. BenZ clearly also totally failed Write It Do It, because the event was given to us a couple weeks before the state competition and we had barely practiced.
