Problems with Editing

I don't know if this is a bug or something but when I edit a page none of the characters appear. Tried doing a small test to see if I can make changes, so I typed in a few letters to this page and hit "Save". Totally forgot that saving the edits would erase all of the Designer Genes info. I'll try to restore the page but as of right now I don't know how to do so. Sorry. /fishman100

Yup, page is back up but I still can't edit when using Firefox. Perhaps that's something to look into? /fishman100

Genetics Page

Note: this discussion has been moved from a page named Genetics, which was created in advance of the 2019 season. Any references to "this page" or "this event" refer to Genetics.

Yeah, I think until events get confirmed we will stay with the current Designer Genes page. Depending on how they get named, we'll adjust the page names then. Will move this talk to Talk:Designer Genes so we have it documented. EastStroudsburg13 (talk) 20:18, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

Regarding page organization - based on the past format of the rules, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to create a separate page for Heredity, and use this page primarily for topics specific to Div C (with a link to the Heredity pages for those topics common to both divisions). Test Exchanges

I've noticed that there are test exchange entries (edit: from 2013/2014) for this event that should be showing up in the infobox, but aren't. I've tried to fix this before but I don't know enough about how the infoboxes work on this specific wiki to actually see what should be changed. If this is a known issue then that's fine, but if it can be fixed that would be good so people can access tests for the 2018-19 season. Jaspattack (talk) 16:36, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Only the last two years of exchanges will show up (reminds me, that probably needs to be updated to 2019 and 2018 soon). The parameter for the Test Exchange Archive covers the remainder. I've made the necessary modification (note - technically it doesn't matter what is in the parameter, only that it has a value, but it's more readable to set it to "true"). --Unome (talk) 23:14, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Incomplete Status

Does anything else need to be added to this page before it's marked as complete? I'll probably add a section about the TATA box at some point in the future, but right now I think this page looks pretty good. --Jaspattack (talk) 16:06, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
