Smith Middle School is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Their coach is Mrs. Regina Baratta. They attended the 2012 North Carolina state championship, and did very well, placing fifth overall and medaling in 13 events. They had an amazing performance in the even Sounds of Music, with Micah Segal-Miller getting 1st overall. In 2014, they had an even better performance, placing 3rd overall and medaling in 15 events. They got 1st place in the entire state in event Solar System, with team members Andrew Qin and Lindsay Nottingham. They will attend the 2019 state championship on 28 April 2019.
