Heritage High School is a Division C competitor of Science Olympiad. Their first team was created during the 2013-2014 school year. Participation in the 2014 Raleigh regional tournament (NC) resulted in HHS winning five medals.

The official Heritage High School mascot is the husky, but the inaugural team decided to come up with the title of Science Ninjas.
