Texas is a sixth grader at Seven Lakes Junior High in Texas. This is her first year in Science Olympiad. She was selected for the state team after her school won 1st place in the Lone Star College Regionals. She got the highest score on the Science Olympiad tryout test at her school and is one of the three girls on the team. For both of those reasons, Texas has been teased and picked on (instead of respected) by the boys. Her events for the state tournament are Bio-Process Lab, Mission Possible, Dynamic Planet, and Roller Coaster. Her other interests/hobbies are: reading, piano, theatre, running, basketball (more watching than playing), Minecraft, and SCIENCE OLYMPIAD:). Texas also competes in TMSCA competitions and is in her school's Math Club.

More About Seven Lakes Junior High: Science Olympiad started in the 2012-2013 season, the same year the school opened. We made it to state that year. We also made it to state the next year. We didn't make it to state the year after, because the head coach didn't care what anybody did during the meetings, so the eighth graders neglected their duties. However, we worked super hard this year (I worked on Mission Possible at my partner's house the entire winter break), so we made it to state.
