Metea Valley High School is a Division C school in Aurora, Illinois. The school opened in 2009, and joined Science Olympiad in late 2010.

Their 2010-2011 season culminated in a spirit award and medals in two events.

The 2011-2012 season saw the introduction of a new co-coach and a new co-captain. Though they did not make great strides during Invitational events, they saw unprecedented success at regionals. They earned a plethora of medals and 6th place overall at the Plank Junior High Regional over their sister school Waubonsie, earning them a bid to the 2012 State Tournament at the University of Illinois. At the 2012 State tournament, they were placed into single A competition (given that they had no previous history with State-level Science Olympiad competition). They earned medals in 9 regular events and 3 trial events, earning them 5th place overall.

The 2012-2013 season saw a new influx of capital with sponsorships from Firehouse Subs and the DuPage Children's Museum. They were able to earn more medals during invitational events during this season, but again, they failed to win anything substantial during their run with invitationals. However, they exceeded precedents set the year before by earning a plethora of medals again and 4th place overall at the IMSA regional. This time, they defeated both Neuqua Valley (6) and Waubonsie Valley (5) to earn the top spot of all schools in their district at regionals. They earned a bid to the 2013 State Tournament at the University of Illinois, which will be held in April.
