Wilmington Area Middle School is a B Division team located in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. The team competes in the Northwest region of Pennsylvania. They feed into Wilmington Area High School.
History
Wilmington's Science Olympiad program first competed in the 2009 season. They were immediately successful, placing 2nd at regionals and qualifying for states. This began a nine-year period in which they qualified for states each year, including four straight years in which they won their regional tournament. In 2014, the team placed 25th at states, their highest-ever finish.
After missing states for the first time in 2019, Wilmington Area Middle School stopped competing for five years. They returned to competition in 2025, earning their fifth regional championship in the process.
