Just Add Water was a Division C exhibition event run at the 1990 National Tournament. It was detailed in episode 3, season 1 of the show Scientific American Frontiers.

Event Details

  • Water begins in a balloon
  • Needs to move to a funnel 10 ft away across testing apparatus that includes an upward incline
  • Time limit 1 min
  • Weight limit 22 lb for contraption and water combined
  • No electric components allowed
  • Top 4 teams move on to a finals round
