Memorial Middle School of Mentor, Ohio, qualified for the 2013 National Tournament for the first time in its history after finishing in 2nd place with 129 points to Solon Middle School and beating Magsig Middle School at the 2013 Ohio State Tournament. They went on to finish 6th at their first national tournament with a total of 340 points.
In 2015, Memorial finished in 2nd place at the Ohio State Tournament with 161 points to Solon Middle School and narrowly defeating Lee Burneson Middle School by a single point.
Memorial is one of two Grade 6-8 middle schools within the Mentor School District, along with Shore Middle School. Both middle schools feed into Mentor High School, which is a three-time National qualifier with a 5th place finish in 2007. Ridge Middle School was previously a School in the District, but was later closed in 2018.
Mentor Public School services roughly 7,700 students for all grade levels, from Mentor, Mentor-on-the-Lake, and parts of Kirtland Hills and Concord Township. Mentor has seven elementary schools (K-5), two middle schools (6-8), one high school (9-12), and one state-of-the-art specialized school for students with autism.
