They went on to finish 6th at their first national tournament with a total of 340 points.

| Memorial is one of two Grade 6-8 middle schools within the Mentor School District, along with Shore Middle School. Both middle schools feed into [[Mentor High School]], which is a three-time National qualifier with a 5th place finish in 2007. Ridge Middle School was previously a School in the District, but was later closed in 2018.

| Mentor Public School services roughly 7,700 students for all grade levels, from Mentor, Mentor-on-the-Lake, and parts of Kirtland Hills and Concord Township. Mentor has seven elementary schools (K-5), two middle schools (6-8), one high school (9-12), and one state-of-the-art specialized school for students with autism.
