Located in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School finished second to Friedell Middle School in the 2013 Minnesota Division B state tournament. Previously, they had finished 10th in the 2012 state tournament and 8th in the 2011 state tournament, their first year competing in Science Olympiad.
