Durham Academy is a Division C school which has consistently placed at the top of North Carolina high schools. In 2003, Durham Academy won the North Carolina State Championship. From 2002–2004, Durham Academy qualified for Nationals, placing as high as 31st. Durham Academy has not been to Nationals since then, but they have still proved very competitive in the Raleigh Regional and North Carolina State Tournaments.
