A school of approximately 2,200 students, Valparaiso High School has a rigorous program for advanced students, offering over 15 Advanced Placement courses and the International Baccalaureate Program, including Higher Level (HL) classes in Chemistry and Biology. It is truly no surprise that team members are well-prepared for Science Olympiad competitions.

A team composed of almost the same 15 members competed together from 2006-2008.  This year, the 7 previous seniors are gone, allowing the team to be filled by many new competitors.  For the first time in VHSSO history, the team is sending two teams to both invitationals and regionals due to the record number of participants.
