|AKA=Stink lizard
|ETY=The name "stink lizard" comes from the fact that these lizards produce a very unpleasant smelling oil when handled.
|DESCR=Stink lizards are green and orange, with yellow striped tails. They are typically around six inches long from the front of their head to the tip of their tails.
|LC=Stink lizards can live up to eight years in the wild. They can lay up to five eggs in a clutch. Eggs are buried in the sand and hatch within two months of being laid. Breeding takes place in the spring.
|ECO=Stink lizards eat small insects and other invertebrates. They live in desert scrub and shelter under rocks.
|BEHAVIOR=Stink lizards are very gregarious, living in swarms similar to bees. They tend to stay in the same area for much of their lives, not migrating.
|CONSERV=Stink lizards are a Least Concern species, and have not had any conservation efforts to protect them.
|DISTR=Stink lizards are found in the southwest United States, living in hot and dry states such as Nevada and New Mexico.
|MISC=Stink lizards are not real lizards.
