I&#039;ll be a junior in the 2023-2024 season attending [[Centennial High School (Maryland)|Centennial High School]].<br /> <br /> Most of my friends started Science Olympiad in middle school at [[Burleigh Manor Middle School]]. However, I didn&#039;t join until my freshman year of high school. In tryouts, I only successfully tried out for one event, Astronomy, probably barely making it on the B team. Because I was a one-trick pony, I was filled onto the Bridge and Wright Stuff events. Being on two build events as a newcomer unfamiliar with them was tough, and the aded difficulty of virtual Scioly meant that my dedication to it wasn&#039;t very high. I didn&#039;t have my first in-person performance until regionals, when I found out how fun tournaments really were. I had a stellar performance, and since then, I&#039;ve worked hard to place high in my events.
