We are pleased to announce that Chattahoochee High School Science Olympiad will be hosting our 4th annual Division B invitational. The tournament will be on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 at Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek, Georgia.

The registration form for the tournament is now open, and can be found on our website, along with a copy of this email, a list of deadlines, and other important information. Registration will be limited to 36 teams. Each school may register up to three teams. Additional registered teams will be placed on a waitlist. The registration fee is $75 for the first team, and $65 for each additional team. The registration form closes at 7 PM EDT on October 20th, and acts as the waitlist form as well. All checks must be received by October 30th to reserve your team’s spots.

We ask that each school write and proctor an event per the number of teams they are bringing (up to 2 events). The registration form includes fields for schools to list their top six preferences (event preferences are on a first-come-first-served basis). Please send us an electronic copy of the test, answer key, and any other specifics for your test (such as equipment or room layout) by November 28th via email to chsscioly123(at)gmail(dot)com. At the end of the awards ceremony each team will receive the hard copies of their test and score sheets.

Teams may preorder pizzas and drinks (the order form will be posted on our website), and we will be selling concessions throughout the tournament. Lunch orders must be scanned and emailed to us by November 29th, and payment should be mailed to us.

With the addition of South Forsyth Middle School earlier today, we are now half full!

Thank you to the 21 teams that have registered for our tournament so far. If you have not registered yet, we recommend that you do so soon; the registration form can be found here. Registration will close on October 20th or when we reach 36 teams, whichever occurs first, and registration payment must reach us by October 30th.

A draft schedule for the tournament is now available here. Room numbers may change somewhat depending on room availability and suitability. We do not expect event timeslots to change other than the possible removal of a few building event timeslots, depending on how many teams decide to compete in those events. Event signups will most likely open 1-2 weeks before the tournament.

A lunch order form/invoice has now been added to the website. The lunch order form should be sent in by November 29th. The form can either be sent in by email or mailed in with the payment. Checks for lunch orders should be made out separately from the registration payment (should any teams decide to send in the order form that early).

When can we expect event assignments?

Event assignments and a list of teams with team numbers have been posted to the website under the Tournament Info page.

More information, including team homerooms, a map, and information about self-scheduling, will be sent out sometime in the next two weeks (depends on how busy we are with our own tournaments).

There have been a few changes made to the tournament schedule (mostly room changes). More info (maps, homerooms, event signups) will probably be posted in a few days.

A large amount of information has been posted to the website under the Tournament Info page (would rather not type out the whole thing a third time). Please let us know if you think there's anything that we forgot to mention.

Final event times have been posted here, for those who are interested.

We'll be tweeting some cool stuff as the tournament progresses, so be sure to follow us on twitter. If all goes well, results should be online right after the tournament finishes, at around 6 PM on Saturday.
