lets see if i still remember anything from last year... xD
A gyre is a large, circular moving loop of water composed of several smaller surface currents (divided into equatorial, western boundary, eastern boundary, northern or southern boundary, and eastern boundary currents).
Five (subtropical) gyres:
1)North Atlantic Gyre
2)South Atlantic Gyre
3)North Pacific Gyre
4)South Pacific Gyre
5)Indian Ocean Gyre
