Any ideas how the egg should attach to the bottle rocket?

Some kind of soft foam chamber maybe, either with a slit or some sort of plug that would keep the egg from falling out? This event would be way more fun if the egg had to be ejected with a little parachute ... Just imagine the drama of an egg speeding towards the ground, it's chute trying desperately to open in time!

That would be awesome but with the current rules it will be a bit more difficult for the egg not to break

Anyone know the winning time from last year?? I know this year with an egg the times will be different, but I just want to know.

In the nose cone. That is how I am doing it.

I would think that it would be better to put the egg in the point where there is a center of gravity, but I have no ideas on how to put the egg in the rocket.

I have a question. Are you allowed to modify the rocket during the competition?
